Atlantic Beach Golf Club, Melkbosstrand, Cape Town

Championship Links style golf course influenced by the Cape south-eastern. On calm days you can play your normal lofted shot or on windy days you can use the firm turf to play low running shots, beneath the wind.

Atlantic Beach Links Golf Course have been built with a serious commitment to the preservation of the indigenous fauna and flora. Straight driving and good wind play is essential, because the fynbos is a no-go area. Very difficult course to play in the strong south-easter that blows during the summer.

King David Golf Club, Montana, Cape Town
King David’s Golf Course is one of Cape Town’s best-kept secrets. Situated near Cape Town International Airport and meandering along rolling landscape, the golf course is renowned for staying dry and firm during wet winters. This, coupled with the fact that it is relatively sheltered from the notorious Cape Doctor (strong south-easterly wind), makes it a ‘course for all seasons’.

The layout of this course is extensive and is separated by massive Bluegum trees overhanging both sides of the fairways. Palms, pines and aloes all contribute to the natural splendour of the course with its many doglegs, rolling fairways, well-bunkered greens and four water hazards. Both fairways and greens are well-maintained throughout the year.

Cape Town Golf
Westlake Golf Club, Cape Town

The Westlake Golf Course offers panoramic views of the Cape Peninsula Mountains. This well manicured parklands layout is recognised as being the best winter course in the Cape, famous for its gentle slopes that allows the rainwater to drain.

A main characteristic of this course is the openness of its layout. The fairways are fairly wide and short and this, provided you stay out of trouble, makes for a potentially low scoring round. This user friendly design is a course that anyone can enjoy whatever their handicap. Accuracy off the tee will always be rewarded by a clear shot to the greens.
