South Africa's world-renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience second to none. Established in 1889 to protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this natural park of nearly 2 million hectares (roughly the size of Wales), is unrivalled in the diversity of its life forms and a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques and policies.
The park is home to great numbers and varieties of amphibians, reptiles, birds and 147 mammal species, including the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant). Mopane trees dominate the northern part of the park, which is famous for its elephants and large herds of buffalo.
Predators and antelope, including many rare species abound, and the bird life is prolific. In the far north, the Pafuri area is one of the most scenic in the park. Most people choose to explore in the comfort of their own cars, to stop and stare, to take the perfect photograph and to follow at whim when the unexpected beckons.
Greenway Woods Resort is situated on the south-eastern border of the park, between the quaint towns of White River and Hazyview. The chalet is ideally situated near 3 championship courses: Sabi River Country Club, Gary Palyer Signature White River Golf Club and Nelspruit Golf Club. The Ernie Els Signature Highland Gate Country Club, 30 minutes drive from the chalet, is due to be completed mid-2007.
Take up the challenge of a guided hike or horse ride in the acres of bush surrounding the resort. Greenway Woods offers a host of recreational facilities such as tennis, squash, swimming, mountain biking, volleyball, on-site team building activities and kiddies programme every weekend and school holidays.
The Chalet

The rates are quoted per couple/persons sharing and include the self catering accommodation, use of a VW Polo hired vehicle, a round of golf every 2’nd day of stay, daily use of all the resort facilities and cleaning services

Rates are subject to amount of people in group, number and class of vehicles used, amount of golf played and use of golf carts. Early bookings are advised due to high occupancy and demand throughout the year.
Wine & Dine
In Africa, the cuisine has a tradition all of its own and, though we cater to every taste, you'll discover, to your delight, many of the unique Lowveld specialities on the menu. Other than the many restaurants in town, the Injabula Boma and Rivergrove restaurants situated on the resort offer fine dining while the Terrace and Tavern Bar is perfect for the more informal occasion.
