Pinnacle Point Golf Lodge, Pinnacle Point Golf Estate
Lodge Sleeps 4
There are three very different features that define Pinnacle Point. Firstly the two secluded beaches, which are ensconced on the four kilometres of dramatic Southern Cape coastline. Secondly, the land itself, 400 hectares of fynbos and milkwood thicket; and thirdly the weather, which is one of the most temperate in the world.
Pinnacle Point is an exclusive beach and golf club development, which offers a 5-star coastal lifestyle, and is centred around a dramatic 18-hole golf course with several holes along the Cliffside, overlooking the warm Indian Ocean
Pinnacle Point is only a stone's throw from the picturesque sleepy seaside town of Mossel Bay. Being one of the most historically significant towns in the southern hemisphere, Mossel Bay is the historical capital of the Garden Route. It is the place where the first meeting between inhabitants of Europe and Southern Africa occurred in 1488, when Bartholomew Diaz set foot ashore and encountered the ancient Khoi-San people.
Pinnacle Point’s offers an eighteen-hole championship course designed by Peter Matkovich, South Africa's leading golf course architect. The emerald green fairways and tees are comprised of Kikuyu grass, and provide the perfect surface for making shots. The bent grass greens will ensure a challenging and entertaining game. Not only that, but the views are awe inspiring, with dramatic coastal views of the ocean from all area’s of the course.
The area consists of a remarkable blending of mountains, rivers, indigenous and cultivated forests, colourful shrubs and wild flowers, glorious beaches and rich farmlands. No wonder the Hottentots, who inhabited the district, named the area Outeniqua - 'man laden with honey' - which it still is. The Garden Route stretches up the coast passing through towns like George, Knysna, Mossel Bay, Plettenberg Bay and Wilderness.

Wine & Dine
Because Mossel Bay is on the coast, seafood is definitely a specialty. You can sample the finest seafood the Indina & Atlantic has to offer at Mossel Bay restaurants like Café Gannet, the Sea Gypsy Café or the Kingfisher at the Mossel Bay Point. Whatever you choose from the menu, don't miss out on a chance to sample the wild Mossel Bay oysters. They are world-renowned!
Whether you're after fine dining or a traditional African experience; few Garden Route restaurants are as eclectic and varied as those in Mossel Bay. If you’re looking for a taste of Africa, don't miss the open air restaurant in the Khoi village at The Point. There are also a host of foreign flavoured Mossel Bay restaurants. Choose between Thai, Cuban, Portuguese, Italian or just simple wholesome family fare.
