Transfer to Johannesburg for your flight to Livingstone at the Victoria Falls, Zambia. You will be welcomed at the airport and transfered to the Royal Livingstone Hotel (5 star, 3 nights), situated on the banks of the Zambezi River, close to the spectacular Eastern Cataract of the mighty Victoria Falls. This exceptional destination, with interiors that capture all the opulence of a bygone era, is the perfect location for the discerning traveller to rejuvinate body and soul.
The 5 star hotel consists of a series of 17 colonial-style buildings, with deep verandas, set amidst indigenous trees and plants. The main hotel is a sequence of thatch-roofed buildings, most African in their influence, and incorporates the lounge, restaurant and bar. A classic swimming pool visually links the waters of the river with the terraces of the hotel, with a sweeping timber deck planted in the swirling water of the Zambezi.
Enjoy the peace and tranquility of the mighty Zambezi River while having a luxurious outdoor body massage or sit back and enjoy the healing power of a magnificent foot massage while relaxing next to the swimming pool.
The variety of food served in the stylish restaurants of the Royal Livingstone is inspired by the mixed influences of Africa and the results are a culinary exploration garnered from the many different cultures that prevail in this diverse and delightful continent. In designing the menus the Chefs were struck by the notion that David Livingstone had, in his explorations of Africa, experienced the widest diversity of food the continent had to offer.
Discover the majesty of the Victoria Falls aboard a helicopter, an adventure you will never forget (optional extra). The scenic beauty is dramatic as the helicopter dips and soars, bringing earth rushing to the fore and alternatively the sky to your fingertips.
Another option is the Helicopter / Jet Boat Combo. The flight takes you over the Victoria Falls and down through the gorge to the helipad situated at Rapid 25 of the powerful Zambezi River. The jet boat then takes you for an exhilarating ride through the swirling rapids, before you fly back out of the gorge - this is the ultimate Zambezi combo (optional extra).
Elephant Back Safaris: The park is resident to wild elephant, hippo, buffalo, impala, giraffe, zebra and small cats such as civet and servile. Guests will be able to ride with guides through the beautiful riverine scenery, a unique experience to interact with this magnificent animal and understand its intelligence and willingness to act under instruction. The ride itself is approximately one hour, the interaction time spent with the elephants approximately three hours (optional extra).
